Modelled on the world's leading sports-education institutions and inspired by the football philosophies of Santos FC, Sporting Lisbon and Ajax Amsterdam, the proposed FC Nairobi Youth Academy is being built for one purpose: to develop the most complete young footballers in East Africa. It will bring elite training, world-class facilities, rigorous academics, sports science, mental performance and life skills under one roof — so that every player who comes through our gates is prepared not just for professional football, but for a life of leadership and excellence in sport.
Football Excellence
Our age-grade squads from under-9 to under-21 share the daily training environment of the FC Nairobi professional first team. The same pitches, the same coaches, the same standards — calibrated to elite senior-level performance and informed by GPS load, biomechanics and tactical periodisation. From the very first session, players learn the game the way the professional game is played.
All-Weather Football
A covered indoor full-size football pitch keeps elite training on schedule through every season — a naturally ventilated, timber-roofed arena with a full-size 3G surface, so age-grade squads from under-9 to under-21 train at the highest standard whatever the weather. It sits alongside six outdoor full-size pitches and six floodlit five-a-side pitches at the heart of the FC Nairobi Sports Village.
Holistic Player Development
A residential pathway designed around the whole player: world-class football training paired with full academic schooling, structured study time, character education and leadership development. Players graduate from FC Nairobi Youth Academy ready for the senior side, ready for university scholarships abroad — and ready for life beyond the game.
Performance, Sports Science & Health
Strength and conditioning is led by our high-performance team and supported by a sports injury and rehabilitation clinic, full-size swimming pool, hydrotherapy, contrast-therapy suites, sports nutrition, mental-performance coaching and a human-performance lab. Every block of training is engineered to push young players safely into the elite — and to protect them while they get there.
Sporting Leadership Excellence
A dedicated football business academy and education centre operates inside the campus — full academic curriculum for boarding players alongside short courses in coaching, sports management, performance analysis, sports medicine and the business of football. We are building the next generation of footballers and the next generation of leaders who will run the East African game.
