Typhoon Sports Village will be the home of the FC Nairobi First Team & Youth Academy — designed to be fully open for visiting teams, schools, leisure stays, meetings, conferences and events.
A 500-acre site has been identified for the proposed Typhoon Sports Village — the future home of the FC Nairobi First Team & Youth Academy. Designed for elite footballers and incorporating world-leading technology and state-of-the-art facilities, the campus will be organised into five clear zones: a football core, an academy core, a performance and medical wing, a hospitality district and an outdoor leadership and landscape estate.
Site Overview
A 500-acre site has been identified for the proposed Typhoon Sports Village. The masterplan will organise every building, pitch and trail across five purposeful districts — football core, academy core, performance and medical, hospitality, and leadership and landscape — so that elite training, education and visitor experience never compete for space.
Our Mission
A football philosophy inspired by Santos FC, Sporting Lisbon and Ajax Amsterdam — building creative, resilient, technically fearless footballers grounded in discipline, teamwork and cultural pride. Age-grade squads from under-9 through under-21 train year-round under one unified philosophy that runs from first kick to first team.
Our Identity
Round building forms, shaded walkways, screened façades and earth-toned materials will root the academy in its place. The architecture will feel Kenyan first, international second — a high-performance village built around the East African Crowned Crane, the bird that gives this club its name.
Sustainability & Community
Rooftop solar, water reclamation, indigenous planting and an on-site aquaponics farm will feed the academy kitchen and partner schools across Nairobi. A youth-led sustainability working group will run tree-planting drives, river clean-ups and climate-education sessions in surrounding communities.
Inclusive-Access Design
Step-free routes from arrival to pitch-side, inclusive-access locker rooms, accessible viewing decks and quiet-rooms — every facility is designed so that para-football, elite sports teams and visiting groups of all abilities can move through the campus with the same dignity and ease as the first team.
